Beef Stroganoff

Dredge beef cubes (1 1/2 lbs) in seasoned flour. Brown in butter or oil.
Add 1 cup consomme and stir to blend in browned bits from pan.
Add and stir in:
2 T catsup
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 t dry mustard
Mushrooms, sliced, though standard are  optional to taste. Onions, not standard may be added.
Simmer until meat is tender 1+ hours.
Just before serving stir in 1/2 c sour cream or yogurt as a substitute.
Serve over cooked noodles or rice.

Instead of beef cubes, German meatballs are a good substitute.
